When it comes to how to glow up in a month naturally, let’s be real, it ain’t easy girls! 💁♀️
As a no BS person, I tried it out myself and this is the BEFORE and AFTER!
(I lowkey hope this blog post won’t go viral on Pinterest cause I really don’t want this photo below get pinned on the internet…)
But to prove to you girls, this below is the proof.

If this is not real glow up, I really don’t know what is …

That being said, this glow up obviously takes more than 30 days!

But in this blog post, I make this more digestible so I’m making this as a 30 days challenge – I promised anything I’ve done is record in this article.

Instead of just telling you to “Be positive” and “Eat Healthily,” I’ve planned all the specific tiny changes you need to make EVERY DAY to transform yourself! 🔥
In this glow up challenge, we’ll cover skincare, style, self-care AND health tips! Always remember: we’re not trying to glow up because we think we’re not enough, but because we know we DESERVE BETTER! 👑

Nothing is more satisfying than putting real effort into building ourselves and one day realizing how much you’ve evolved!
So ladies, here’s how to glow up in a month! I dare you to complete this 30 days glow up challenge! 💪
Disclaimer: This 30 days glow up challenge is only for the hardcore ladies <3 Not for the ones who looking for short cut cause I just wanna be honest – there’s no magic in looking pretty overnight.
DAY 1: Define your “1 month glow up challenge” in detail ✍️
Writing down your goals is INCREDIBLY important!
A Harvard Business Study found that the 3% of graduates who had their goals written down ended up earning TEN TIMES as much as the other 97% put together! 🤯
So yes ladies, write those goals down! This subconsciously tells your brain you’re serious this time!

Here’s an example:
In 30 days, I hope that we are:
- Healthier in my skin, my body, and my mind 🌿
- Mentally strong and feeling more secure about myself overall 💭
- Spending more time in self-care than zombie scrolling Instagram jealous of other people’s lives 📵
- Carrying these glow up tips beyond these 30 days into my long-term life ⏳
- Proud of myself for finishing this glow up challenge 🏆
This is just my version, so create your own!
Trust me, writing these down will make you WAY more motivated! 💯
Day 2: Reduce your sugar intake to glow up your skin & body 🍭
I know this isn’t easy but it’s DEFINITELY worth it!

You don’t have to cut off ALL sugar (that wouldn’t be sustainable), but eliminate sugary drinks and replace refined sugar in food at home. They’re pure calories that do NOTHING good for our bodies! 🙅♀️
Some examples:
- Cut off soda completely (seriously, this stuff is TOXIC!) ❌
- Don’t add sugar to your coffee or tea ☕
- Replace refined sugar with raw honey, coconut sugar, and pure maple syrup (they’re packed with antioxidants, vitamins, and minerals!) 🍯
Day 3: Exercise for at least 20 minutes per day 💃
We HAVE to move to keep our brains and bodies healthy! 20 minutes is really the minimum.
Try doing 10 minutes HIIT and 10 minutes core – it sounds overwhelming but trust me, it flies by! 🕐

From day 3 on, do at least 20 minutes of exercise EVERY DAY – no excuses! (But feel free to do easier exercise if you’re not feeling great that day!)
Day 4: Airplane mode before sleep for a mental glow up ✈️
This is my BEST hack for having a wonderful morning!
With a notification-free phone, you don’t have to react to alerts right after waking up.
Your brain can stay in proactive mode rather than reactive mode!
This gives you calm, peaceful mornings to complete your routine, finish tasks, and do journaling/meditation. 🧘♀️
DAY 5: Wear sunscreen (even on cloudy days!) ☀️
Sunscreen is ESSENTIAL!
It decreases your risk of skin cancer, keeps your skin tone even, and slows down wrinkles.

wrong pic sorry girlies
And don’t just apply it on your face!
Your legs and body need protection too – you don’t want to look glowy on the face but dry on the body, right? 😉
DAY 6: Detox social media 📱
A key to glowing up is focusing on YOURSELF, not others (especially those who bring negative emotions).
Unfollow people who make you feel insecure or jealous on Instagram and other platforms!
This will be SO refreshing!
Always remember: meaningless comparison is toxic and we are ALWAYS our own version of beauty. 💕
Day 7: Curl your eyelashes for a natural glow up 👁️
This is my INSTANT glow up tip that’s super easy – just curl those lashes!
This makes you look more energetic and your eyes more awake!
If you don’t have long lashes to curl, eyelash extensions are fine too! Just choose a natural version so you won’t regret it later! 😘
Day 8: Find out what colors look nice on you 🎨
Fashion tip 101: Learn about colors and find your perfect palette!
It took me forever to admit I look terrible in some colors.
I have a yellowish undertone and finally realized I don’t look good in pink!
So ladies, figure out your skin tone and pick your unique color palette!
It’s super fun and makes you look more put together when styling outfits! 👗
Day 9: Start wearing dainty accessories ✨
I struggled with accessories for ages until I recognized their power!
I hate to admit it, but yes, they DEFINITELY make you look more put together!
Even though you can look good without accessories, one or two quality pieces of earrings or necklaces can really level up your style!
Every time I see a lady wearing fine accessories, I think she must take good care of herself because she enjoys adding sparkle to her look! 💎
Day 10: Get yourself some good quality bras and undies 👙
Glow up starts from WITHIN! A comfortable, right-sized bra is key to feeling good about yourself.
So many of my girlfriends invest in makeup and outfits but completely neglect the bras and undies they wear EVERY DAY!
If you’re one of them, get some quality pieces and you’ll realize how much easier life becomes! 🥰
Day 11: Trim your split ends for hair glow up ✂️
An easy task – trim those split ends while watching Netflix (especially if you haven’t done it for 3+ months)!
Trimming actually encourages hair growth by getting rid of broken hair and split ends.
Not only will this make your hair look more put together and smooth, but it’s a meaningful thing to do when you’re bored at home! 💇♀️
Day 12: Change your hairstyle in a tiny way 💁♀️
When we look good in one particular hairstyle, we sometimes keep it for 3 months, then 6 months, then a DECADE!
Sound familiar? 😅
Sometimes it’s nice to change your style a bit to feel refreshed and explore possibilities!
Whether it’s adding hair accessories, making a cute ponytail, or a simple bun – this can give you an instant glow up!
Play with your hair, girls – it’s FUN! 🎀
Day 13: Wear perfume 💫
No, you don’t need a special event to wear perfume! You can incorporate natural scents into your daily life!
As they say, perfume is the key to our memories and I couldn’t agree more! If you want to look poised and put together instantly, wear some perfume! 🌸
Wearing the right scent can enhance your mood, lift your spirits, and make you scientifically more attractive to others!
There’s pheromones in perfume – chemicals that trigger social responses. Plus, scents trigger memories, making you more memorable to others!

I strongly recommend trying perfume if you haven’t! I struggled with this for years, but once I incorporated it into my daily routine, I felt a HUGE difference – happier and more confident! ✨
Day 14: Learn some beauty hacks 💄
We all save beauty hack pins, but do we actually USE them?
Here are some I’ve tried that really leveled up my makeup and skin:
- Apply red lipstick before concealer to cover under-eye circles (LIFE-CHANGING!) 👁️
- Try dry brushing for smoother skin and reduced cellulite 🧹
- Use a teabag to brighten eyes 👀
- Use roll-on fixative instead of double-sided tape 📌
Scroll through your Pinterest board, gather the hacks you want to try, and ACTUALLY test them out! 🔍
Day 15: Stop unconscious negative self-talk 🗣️
Start being aware of what you say to others and yourself!
Your words are MORE powerful than you think – they influence your thoughts and feelings. Here are things to say less:
- “I don’t know / I have no idea”
- “Should I? / What do you think?”
- “I wish…”
- “Why am I so unlucky? / Why me?”
- “YES” (to everything)
- “I hate…”
- “I’m not pretty / I’m not enough”
- Calling your body parts bad names 🚫
If you say these frequently, you’re portraying yourself as negative and insecure. People won’t treat you seriously or find you attractive.
Being aware of your language can help you glow up on a deeper level! 💬
Day 16: Reduce your double chin with face yoga 🧘♀️
Face yoga REALLY works if you do it daily!
I can’t promise it will COMPLETELY eliminate a double chin, but it can definitely make it firmer!
This targets the muscles, but if you want maximum results, add some cardio too! 💪
Day 17: Sleep with a silk pillowcase 😴
This is a beauty secret of many models!
Instead of cotton, use lighter fabrics like silk or bamboo to reduce hair traction and annoying split ends! When I first learned this, I was SHOCKED – I had no idea pillowcase material mattered so much for skin and hair!
A good silk pillowcase can help reduce hair damage and protect against dryness because it doesn’t absorb natural oils like cotton does.
Such an undervalued self-care item! 🌙
Day 18: Switch to sulfate-free shampoo for hair health 💆♀️
For real hair glow up, give your hair healthy nutrients with sulfate-free shampoo!
Sulfate is the chemical that creates lather when washing your hair.
While it keeps hair “clean,” it also strips away natural oils, moisture, and even hair dye! If you want glowing, smooth hair, stay away from this chemical! 🧴
Day 19: Start biotin if you have fragile hair and soft nails 💊
I wish someone had told me this sooner to save me months of frustration!
I have thin hair and I accept it. But when I started losing hair at an unexpected rate, I was PANICKING! I tried everything until I discovered biotin – and now my hair is growing back!
If you’re struggling with the same issue, don’t lose hope!
Try a good biotin supplement for thicker, stronger hair! 🌱
Day 20: Level up your wardrobe 👚
I know crop tops and shorts from Forever 21 are super cute, but maybe it’s time to level up our outfit game! Changing what you wear is definitely an instant glow up.
If you’re in your mid-20s like me, consider outfits that make you look elegant and classy – you’ll be AMAZED at how differently people treat you! 👠
Some outfit tips to look more classy:
- Try silk and satin instead of cotton
- Pick low-saturation colors
- Wear V-necks instead of round necks (they make your face look longer and slimmer!)
Day 21: Whiten your teeth 😁
I believe a smile is the best makeup a girl can wear, so taking care of your teeth is a long-term investment!
I always had yellowish teeth (from tea and coffee), and though it wasn’t a big deal at first, I felt insecure when smiling, which became mentally exhausting over time.
If you already have perfectly white teeth, skip this challenge!
But if you want to end that unnecessary insecurity, try teeth whitening! See a dentist or try an at-home kit! Consider it a self-care present! 🦷
Day 22: Eat less dairy 🥛
Cut back on dairy and you’ll notice positive effects on your digestion, weight, acne, and other skin problems! Some simple ways to consume less:
- Switch to plant-based milk (oat milk is my FAVE – so tasty!) 🌾
- Replace cheese with vegan alternatives 🧀
- Try vegan ice cream (surprisingly delicious!) 🍦
Just changing milk and cheese can make a huge difference! Try it and see how your body and mood react! 🌿
Day 23: DIY your face mask 🎭
Even as the laziest girl when it comes to skincare, I find DIY face masks EXTREMELY beneficial!
My favorite is the turmeric-honey mask, which I apply not just to my face but also to my inner thighs and buttocks for skin lightening – it works WONDERS! 🍯
Day 24: Switch to nose breathing instead of mouth breathing while sleeping 👃
Countless studies show mouth breathing is bad for sleep quality AND appearance (especially for teenagers).
According to medical studies, chronic mouth breathing may contribute to:
- Unfiltered air entering lungs
- Inefficient upper-chest breathing
- Chronic over-breathing
- Snoring and sleep apnea
- Bad breath and dental issues
- Jaw joint dysfunction
- Narrowed dental arch
- Muscle dysfunction around jaw and lips
- Enlarged tonsils and adenoids 😮
This tip isn’t common, but some of you need to hear it! Research how mouth breathing affects your jaw and face overall. To keep your mouth closed while sleeping, try gentle mouth tape! 💤
Day 25: Apply body lotion for a whole-body glow up 🧴
When it comes to glowy skin, don’t neglect your body!
I used to only care for my face until a friend bluntly asked, “Why do your legs look so dry but your face so glowy?” 😳

Dry skin girlies you will thanks me later
It’s not much work – just apply lotion before going out!
This small act makes me feel good about myself and more confident because I’m taking care of my whole body! ✨
Day 26: Level up your bag by adding a scarf 👜
You don’t need a Hermès Birkin to decorate your bag with a silk scarf!
This little hack is amazing! Instead of buying designer bags every six months, a high-quality silk scarf is more affordable and versatile.
Choose structured synthetic leather bags over canvas/cotton ones – people usually can’t tell the price range at a glance.
With a silk scarf, they might even think it’s a designer bag they’ve never seen before! Trust me, it works! 🧣
Day 27: Do bridge pose daily for better posture 🧠
Bridge pose is fantastic for our bodies in many ways!
It strengthens legs and feet and helps open shoulders (perfect if yours droop forward).

Posture REALLY matters for confidence and attractiveness!
Practice this pose in your morning routine – it can also calm your mind! 🧘♀️
Day 28: Take warm baths instead of hot ones 🛁
I know it’s tempting to have a hot bath after a hectic day, but hot water strips skin of essential moisture and oils, leading to dryness!
From personal experience, I can totally feel the difference.
For a long time, my body skin was always drier than my face, and I thought it was normal!
Then I tried cooler showers for a month, and my skin looked SO much better! It’s a FREE method to improve your skin – why not try it? 💦
Day 29: Use brown eyeliner instead of black for a softer look 👁️
I always defaulted to black eyeliner until a friend shared that brown creates a much softer look – and it works!
Black can look aggressive sometimes, while dark brown is softer and pairs beautifully with white/light-colored outfits.
Maybe many of you already know this hack, but it was a game-changer for me! 🤎
Day 30: Journal about your 30-day challenge 📔
It’s finally day 30! 🎉 I couldn’t be more proud of you!
Your only task today is to journal about your mental and physical state, how you feel about this challenge, and your entire journey.
Don’t feel guilty if you skipped a day or two – this wasn’t easy! Write down all your feelings as a beautiful conclusion to these 30 days.
By now, I hope you’re mentally stronger, healthier, and happier from incorporating these habits! ❤️
