So I guess there’s never too much red for the lips!

After all, just like makeup, hairstyle, and outfit, the tattoo is another kind of explicit way to express your beliefs, values, and personality.

As the saying goes, dress like you want to be addressed.

If you want to look classy, then perhaps you should reconsider that skull or naked girl tattoo.

Always remember, tattoos are something that follows you the whole lifetime; make sure those tattoos are meaningful enough to empower you instead of making you feel insecure after 5 years!

I personally think the life quote tattoos, religious tattoos, and family tattoos are really classy and elegant; they stand for strength, love, and so much more!

2. TIMELESS tattoo design is key

Being classy is about being timeless and classic. As Karl Lagerfeld once said, “Trendy is the last stage before tacky.”

When it comes to your tattoos, make sure the design is always a timeless piece instead of a trendy piece.

Not kidding, but I saw people doing some food tattoos (like our beloved avocados and cheese) on their front arms, seriously?

It may look cute in your 20s, but when you are 50 and you look at the food tattoos, you may want to get rid of them.

Also, when it comes to classy design, typography does play a huge role as well.

Instead of choosing some trendy Instagram fonts, I think the classic script fonts will be a classic design that makes things look more polished.

Last but not least, always go for simple, low-key designs.

You don’t want to make the tattoos so big and too colorful that people shift their attention to the tattoos instead of you during the first meeting.

Having a tattoo can also be private and low-key instead of trying too hard.

An overwhelming tattoo, it makes people think you validate your value by showing the tattoos even if that’s not your intention.

It’s always a good choice to place your tattoo in some less obvious spot to make things easier, like the inner arms, rib cage, waist, and shoulder back, so you can always hide your tattoo when you want to.

Trust me, you will love this flexibility.

I don’t think the face is a good placement even for simple elegant tattoos, this is a little bit too obvious and people will stare at your tattoos instead of looking at you in the eyes.

You just don’t need this distraction in the long term.

4. Wear an elegant outfit that flatters your tattoos

If you have a simple small tattoo on the upper arms, you don’t really have any restrictions when it comes to your outfits.

However, if you have large tattoos with colors, you may want to pay extra attention to the outfit including the colors.

For example, if your tattoo is green, wearing a pink dress may not be the best idea.

Here are some of the color combinations that don’t go well with each other:

2. He always walks on the curbside

This sweet gesture will truly make a lady feel well-protected.

Someone may argue this is old school and I believe many ladies will appreciate that.

3. He is always punctual

A true gentleman knows this is a sign of respect for others.

In most cases, he may arrive 5 to 10 minutes earlier just in case.

4. He respect everyone

He knows that everyone has dignity and there’s no reason to look down on anyone.

First thing first, sis, I feel you.

Being ghosted is literally the worst feeling on earth.

According to Darcy Sterling, a New York City-based therapist, she said: “It’s normal to assume you’ve done something wrong when a love interest disappears without explanation.”

That’s why being ghosted hurts so much – it’s a mixed emotion from anger, confusion, sadness, loneliness, and helplessness.

We logically know we aren’t disposable rubbish but somehow it just feels like it.

So yes, being ghosted really sucks.

That said, you are definitely not alone and now I’m trying to offer raw steps to cope with ghosting.

I tried it out myself and it works so hopefully it’s helpful!!

1. Understand the neuropsychology of ghosting

First thing first, understand the human nature that we subconsciously want an explanation about something we don’t understand.

When someone ghosts us, that triggers our whole brain activity.

It activates a systemic experience of loss that stems from our amygdala, hippocampus, and prefrontal cortex.

When you know it’s scientifically normal to have that kind of sadness and desperation ( The thought of I can do everything if he/she comes back to my life), at least you will have a certain level of compassion for yourself and understand it’s okay to have all sort of emotions.

These days, the attachment theory is all the rage these days.

I think it’s so important to NOT identify your sadness of being ghosted because you have an anxious attachment and you should FIX yourself.

Don’t be that harsh to yourself and I’m sure regardless of your attachment style, everyone will feel sad and betrayed about being ghosted!

Remember, you already suffer a lot – don’t add an extra layer of guilt to this whole situation.

STOP thinking you are overreacting, being ghosted is like undergoing through drug withdrawal, of course you want to find him back and seek validation from him.

Nothing’s wrong with you.

You are already trying your very best to resist the temptation and reading this post now.

2. Keep watching YouTube videos

If you are an emotional girl, I’m pretty sure just doing Step 1 is not enough.

To release your full-blown emotions, keep watching YouTube videos with the titles

• “How to get over anyone FAST ASF”
• “How to become unf*ckable with & unplayable”

and more.

The high chance is after watching 20 videos in a row, you will still feel those boiling emotions but at least you feel someone (The Youtuber) understands you.

That’s a certain level of comfort.

And by watching these YouTube videos, you slowly release a certain part of anger and sadness.

In this moment, you have to find an exit from your emotions, and watching videos certainly helps.

Some other ways are going to forums like Reddit, and Quora and reading other people’s stories – that will make you feel better as well.

3. Understand that you won’t have this feeling FOREVER

In this moment, I get it, the temptation is SO REAL.

You want to text him a long text so bad, keep calling him until he picks up, looking for the explanation.

I’d say STOP. (Slap you in the face)

There are two logical reasons:

1) If you want him to come back ( Trust me you will feel silly when you get over this guy after 2 weeks LOL), finding him is NOT GONNA help the situation.

If you just accept being ghosted, leave him alone, and live your life as if nothing happened, there’s a chance that after a period of time he will find you back. (You can check out the science behind this phenomenon on YT)

Actually, I will suggest you ghost him when he comes back later LOL

You definitely deserve better sis.

2) Rmb that NO RESPONSE (ghosting) is already a response.

Ghosting = he is not interested in you.

He might have a certain level of interest in you but NOT HIGH enough to keep in contact with you.

4. STOP FINDING EXCUSES

Ladies, we all know how imaginative we can be.

Oh, is that because he lost his phone and can’t contact me?

Oh, is that because he is playing a hot and cold mind game with me and actually secretly waiting for me to find him?

Well, MEN isn’t as complicated as us – they are mission-oriented and they do what they want.

To stop all the excuses in your mind, you just have to keep telling yourself,

If he wanted to, He would

Seriously, keep telling yourself this line, your brain desperately needs it.

5. Create Fake Hope to buy time

I don’t think everyone needs this step but if you are a hyper-sensitive or super-emotional girl, being ghosted by your crush or getting over a situation can REALLY feel like a catastrophe.

After going through previous step 4, you might still feel like SxIT and it’s okay.

Let’s do Step 5 – BEING DELUSIONAL to buy time.

I’d suggest you shut down your phone or delete the whole WhatsApp (or any kind of texting tool you and ghoster were using) and wait for perhaps 2 or 3 days (or even a week) to open that back.

That way, you can have a fake hope that he might already find you back and you can have 3 or 4 days of peace before facing reality again.

The point of using this strategy is BUY TIME for yourself to still function well.

Trust me, after 3-4 days, part of your logical side will take back and your emotions will feel less overwhelmed.

When you download back the Whatsapp, your emotional state is already different, and even if he doesn’t find you, it’s not as hurtful as you would have imagined.

6. DISTRACT YOURSELF

Actually, keeping distracting yourself is the fundamental step to getting over this whole messy ghosting thing.

Staying busy might not be a long-term solution but definitely an effective short-term coping mechanism.

Just being occupied with tasks helps take your mind off of what’s bothering you.

For me, the worst thing ever is staying in your room with the curtain closed and feeling super isolated.

Sometimes when you are deeply in your head, that hopelessness can drag you into a dark hole that no one can understand.

Depending on your emotional state, these are some things you can do:

• keep showing up in the office and working on your job
• Download a dating app and start scrolling (even if you don’t feel like it – as what you want is a distraction)
• Keep asking your friends out every night to keep yourself occupied and tired
• Find a short-term goal to accomplish (That one really works as it gives you a sense of accomplishment)

Think about doing 16/8 fasting, starting a new hobby like Zumba, going to the gym, and more.

If you are in the depressed stage and feel like you don’t have any energy to do your normal things (like going to work or meeting friends), at least force yourself to

• Get out of the house and sit under sunlight (That helps immensely)
• Get a facial or nail appointment (So you can stay silent if that makes you feel comfortable)
• Do some shopping (Shopping therapy is real sis, if you worry you will spend too much, go thrifting so you won’t feel too guilty afterward)

7. Embrace the whole journey

Last but not least, embrace the whole ghosting journey.

Keep doing step 1 to step 6 until you feel better…

As a super emotional ISFP, I totally understand how hurtful you are right now.

But trust me, the feeling comes and goes and eventually one day you will get over this whole ghosting thing.

One day, you will see this whole thing from a new perspective and that’s the moment you realize you already move on.

And that’s the moment you realize you are stronger than you think you are 🙂

More often than not, it’s not always about looks but something more in-depth.

1. You don’t love yourself

As Dalai Lama said “If you don’t love yourself, you cannot love others. If you have no compassion for yourself then you cannot develop compassion for others.”

That’s so true.

The truth is – your partner is your mirror.

If you are triggered by some of the behavior of your partner, there is a high chance that this is the exact behavior you don’t accept yourself.

For example, some of the behavior by your partner reflects your childhood trauma that hasn’t healed yet or other things that trust issues.

If you don’t heal and love yourself well, it’s impossible to have the capacity to love others.

Plus, even though your dates may not be able to pinpoint that, people can sense that you have low self-esteem and don’t find you attractive in that regard.

2. You don’t understand what you really want

If you want to have a wholesome relationship, understanding yourself is the first key.

And it’s actually not as easy as we thought.

Step 1:

Don’t fall into the trap and blindly follow what society says a fulfilling relationship should be. Everyone has different needs and you should define that yourself.

While some of the needs and desires for a relationship are pretty much universal, only YOU know what factors are your priorities and what factors are just good to have.

For example, Mary is an independent girl and she needs a certain amount of alone time. She is also work-oriented and intimate relationship comes second.

If she understands herself well and accepts that, she will know a partner who wants to see her every single day and expects her to reply to the text within 30 minutes may not be for her.

While for Jamie, she craves emotional connection so much and a relatively clingy partner is actually perfect for her.

So yes, it’s so important to understand yourself enough to the point that you know what you are looking for in a partner.

By that point, you are ready to enter a relationship.

SIDE NOTE:

To me, figuring out my MBTI type is such a life-changing thing for me.

After knowing I am an ISFP (Feeling type) myself, I finally realized I need a partner who is emotionally savvy.

While for some thinking types, emotional savvy is not a main criterion.

Trust me, if you don’t figure out what you really want, it’s hard to get into a relationship.

3. You are not over the last relationship

If you haven’t let go of your ex, it’s hard for you to open your heart and enter a new relationship.

Even if you’ve found the right one, you may subconsciously sabotage the relationship by comparing your new date with your ex in a biased way.

So ladies, face the pain and go through the healings first.

Sometimes writing that down makes you realize how ridiculous those beliefs are. (Been there, done that – it works)

Step 2: Detach from that belief

Understand that those beliefs and thoughts don’t represent YOU.

Create some space between you and your thoughts.

Step 3: Replace the old belief with new positive thoughts

The mind is EVERYTHING.

What you think, you become.

5. You are looking for the “perfect” person

If you want someone who is fun and adventurous, high chance he or she is not a meticulous planner and more goes with the flow.

If you want someone calm and put together during difficult times, high chance he or she may not be emotionally expressive like a teddy bear.

The truth is, you can’t have it all.

The sooner you realize this, the quicker you set yourself free and have a reasonable view towards finding the one.

Pick the negotiables and non-negotiables, and be compassionate to yourself and others.

Sometimes a good relationship is simply two perfectly imperfect people not willing to give up on each other and keep showing up.

6. You are not putting yourself out there

Finding love takes A TON OF effort – it’s no easy feat.

So, ladies, it’s time to put yourself out there and do the work:

• Asking your friends for “referrals”
• Go to the dating app
• Join the interest class
• Make friends with strangers

As an introvert, I truly know how hard it is.

But trust me, when you meet your Mr. Right or Mrs. Right one day, it’s all worth it.

7. You care about instant attraction too much

If you think the instant chemistry is a must, well, think again.

For some of the relationships, chemistry doesn’t appear on the first date or even the first few dates.

Depending on the personality, it takes time for your date to be natural and open up with you and the attraction can be slowly developed shortly after.

So ladies, if there are no red flags on the first date – perhaps say yes to second date and see where it goes!

Never say never.

8. You don’t have much going on in life

If you have nothing to do except the 9-5 job – well, it’s time to get some new hobbies and other activities.

Depending on the dynamic between you and him, the journey can either be the two love birds in fantasyland or a never-ending haunted house visit.

And this time the relationship question is: If a guy asks you to lunch is he interested?

I love this question as I have a real case study that I could share – enjoy!

First thing first, to answer the question: Lunch date IS NOT equal to the friend zone.

At the end of the day, it truly depends on the context and how it plays out.

1. If the first date is a lunch/ coffee date, there’s nothing wrong!

If he asked you for a coffee date as the first date, it’s totally okay.

Especially when you guys meet from a dating app, there are just too many uncertainties around the whole thing.

You don’t know the chemistry and you don’t know whether he or she is a catfish or not.

Imagine if he dated you at a fancy resto at night and you found him awkward and looked completely a different person from the profile pic but the French dinner lasted for a good 3 hours.

That’s a hell.

Plus, I feel really bad if I know I won’t see this guy the second time but seeing him pays for the fine dining $300 bill.

The conclusion?

If it’s your first date, when a guy asks you out for lunch or coffee, it’s actually nice!

He IS interested in you, otherwise, he won’t even try to get out of the talking stage and initiate a lunch with you.

In this case, not asking for a fancy dinner date as a first date doesn’t mean he is stingy or a low-effort person at all.

He is just being reasonable and cautious with all the uncertainties.

So go ahead ladies – don’t overthink, don’t have any expectation, keep it chill and enjoy the first date!

2. The dynamic after the first date

After the first date, things should be very clear.

For men, it only takes several minutes to know if he is interested in you. (I am not talking about whether he is committed to being with you, I am talking about the chemistry and interest level)

If he is interested in you, he naturally wants to invest more resources (time and money) in you and spend time with you and know you more.

Of course, everyone has their own pace.

For some guys, they might be slow to warm up and ask you for dinner after the third or fourth date.

But in my case, after the first date, the guys will usually ask me for dinner or spend time during the weekend.

3. Not a high interest level (Not friendzone tho)

Okay ladies, story time.

I met a guy back in January this year and now we’ve been out for 6 times in total already.

He is definitely a slow-paced person and not the romantic type.

Despite the fact that we don’t chat often during text, we are always happy together during our dates and I am looking forward to seeing him again.

For the last date, he drove me to an amusement park, had a Spanish dinner afterward, and drove me back home safely.

And after two weeks, he asked me out again, but here’s what he said

“Free to have lunch during weekdays?”

Well, that’s not a good sign.

Obviously, his interest level has declined and he didn’t want to invest as much time and money as before.

In this situation, this lunch date means he is not interested enough to spend a weekend night with me but still somehow interested in keeping me in his dating pipeline.

In other words, he is unsure about me for some reason.

I did feel disappointed cause I do like him more than the other guys, but I do respect that as dating is a discovery phrase.

He can pull out the resources if he feels like it and at the same time, we as the women can decide whether you accept this change of dating behavior as well.

I remember when I asked him in the phone call “Don’t you think weekday lunch is too rush? We can just meet 1.5 hours and you have to go back to work.”

“I think a quick 1.5-hour meeting is fine.” He said.

In this case, I said no to him.

I do like him but at the same time, I think I deserve a date night.

If a weekday lunch date is all he wanna do, I’d say no.

4. A male coworker asked for lunch

And when it comes to the workplace dynamic, that can be slightly different.

If a guy asked you for lunch (just you and him), I’d say the chance is 50/50.

Chance A: He is just being friendly and feels like chatting with you is fun. (Especially when the lunch conversation is about gossiping his boss/ team – he wants to have lunch with you for emotional support perhaps)

Chance B: If he kindly offers to pay for the lunch and ask questions about you, he might be romantically interested in you.

After all, office romance is something that has to be handled carefully.

Even if a male colleague likes you, he might not ask you for dinner straight away as that can be too obvious.

If you reject him, it can be a little bit embarrassed as you guys might still meet in the office.

So yes, for the office setting, a lunch date is a good sign!

5. Don’t have too many assumptions

Ladies, we all know how much we can overthink.

I think there’s a concept we have to keep in mind.

Dating IS NOT EQUAL to being in a relationship, rather, it’s the discovery stage.

If we have too much expectation towards someone, we turn out to disappoint ourselves and that’s not fair to the counterparty as well.

If there’s a shift of energy from your date (i.e. always take you for a dinner date but now asking for a lunch date), you can casually ask them “Oh wow – you seem busy. What you up to for the weekend then?”

You might be surprised that it’s not what thought.

There’s a chance that he was in his peak season during work and he tried his best to squeeze his time to meet you.

But that said, the chance is rare.

So there you go my loves – this is my thought when it comes to lunch dates.

Lunch dates don’t mean friendzone – it really depends on the progress and dynamic between you and him.

But at the end of the day, I’m sure you already have your interpretation in mind – let’s not forget woman’s instinct never fails.

I’d say do what makes you feel good.

Regardless of how many people’s opinions you’ve gained, make the decision that makes you feel loved but not wronged. 💖

I am a fan of 36 falls in loves questions and I used it at least 6 times in my life already. That said, I don’t find the traditional printables interactive enough so I thought I created one myself!

Below are some example pages:

I created it in this way so that you guys can cut the questions out and put them in the glass jar or box for a game. night.

Your lover or friend can pick the question randomly instead of you having to go through every question on paper in order – isn’t that way more fun?!
